About the Super Bowl Badge Program

  • The Highland Mint is the NFL Licensee for Badges and Coinage. The Highland Mint is the manufacturer of the Official Super Bowl coin toss “flip coin”
  • IPGBadges.com is a distributor for the Highland Mint, and the service provider for the Super Bowl Badge Program each year.
  • The Highland Mint and IPGBadges.com have worked together to design and provide the only Officially Licensed NFL Super Bowl Badges for participating agencies for the past 13 years.
  • Super Bowl Badges are only available to authorized personnel at participating agencies and are not available to the general public.

 

About the Badges

  • A selection of Officially Licensed badges have been developed for For Super Bowl LIX.
  • The Super Bowl Badges offered are officially licensed by the NFL.
  • Each design is inspired by models that are popular in each City/State/Region where the Super Bowl takes place each year. The approved designs can be customized for any participating agency.
  • By using these models, no government funds are required to participate, this is a completely self pay program. If a department chooses to participate, their officers and authorized personnel can order online if they choose to.
  • For security reasons, IPGBadges.com establishes a point of contact at each agency and all badges are shipped to that POC for distribution.
  • Departments can, and have, placed bulk (agency funded) orders for their personnel, but it is not mandatory. There are no minimum order requirements.
  • Support departments can sign up to participate until January 31, 2025.  Participation is subject to approval from NFL Security.

How the Program Works

  • Departments request to participate and select the badge model(s) from the approved designs that they would like to use for their Super Bowl Badges. All participation requests are subject to NFL approval.
  • IPGBadges.com will collect information about what each department would like on their badges, such as:

• Lettering (font, color)
• Ranks (which ranks are needed in silver, gold or Two Tone)
• POC for all Super Bowl Badge shipments

  • A special password protected section at www.IPGBadges.com is set up for each individual agency with the badges and options that were selected.
  • Once the section is set up on the website, department personnel can place orders individually if they choose to.
  • Orders are produced and shipped in production batches to each department POC for distribution to individual officers and personnel.

Key Dates

  • Orders are accepted from August 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
  • Orders placed Before October 16, 2024 will be delivered before December 25, 2024
  • Orders Placed Before November 15, 2024 will be delivered before Super Bowl week.
  • Orders placed after November 15 are not guaranteed to be delivered before Super Bowl Sunday.
  • February 28, 2025 - The Super Bowl LIX Badge Program will be closed.
  • Once the program concludes each year, the stamping dies used to make the badges are destroyed and the badges can never be made again. The Super Bowl badges from each year are exclusive, limited edition products - available only to participating departments and agencies.
